[edit] Information

Big Dreams Small Spaces: Series 2 Monty Don returns to help more amateur horticulturists transform their small or average-sized plots into something extraordinary.

[edit] Salisbury

In Salisbury, newly engaged couple Glenn and Zoe want a new garden to produce flowers for their wedding, but their sloping plot seems completely unusable. Monty has the ideas and plenty of enthusiasm, but can they get the planting done in time for the wedding? In Barnet, he gets to work on an overgrown allotment that owner Nighat wants to use as a site for keeping bees, as well for growing fruit and vegetables.

[edit] Clapham

Monty Don helps young couple Jack and Chris in Clapham to turn their tiny urban back space into a Victorian-inspired plant collector's paradise - with a twist. However, their timing is not perfect, as they are aiming to add a special dahlia collection, a fern wall and lots of modern gardening gadgets at the same time as refurbishing their home. Meanwhile, in Hereford, daughter Frankie is trying to renovate her cottage garden in memory of her sister, with the help of her mother Pat, but her ambitious plans clash with Monty's more practical approach.

[edit] Bromley

Monty helps Bromley couple Mei and Gerard with their ambitious plan to turn their narrow, split-level garden into a Japanese-style paradise, complete with mountain stream, mossy boulders and traditional plants. But with tons of soil to move and their budget running out, it seems they have bitten off more than they can chew. In Stoke, artists Anna and Andrew want to transform their concrete yard into a haven of tranquillity with something beautiful to see in every corner. However, they will need to use all their creative flair - not to mention Monty's expert advice - to avoid overcrowding this very small space.

[edit] Oxford

Monty helps Oxford neighbours Anne and Fliss, who want to combine the front gardens of their semi-detached homes into one single space filled with their favourite grasses and perennials. The gardening enthusiasts have some big ideas - but can they work together to achieve one goal? He also travels to Pewsey, where former Army officer Sally is converting a tarmac and rubble-covered area into a cosy, wildlife-friendly haven for her daughters. She wants it ready for summer, which doesn't give them a great deal of time - but she does have an army of friends willing to get involved.

[edit] Worthing

Worthing couple Emma and Josh want to transform their overgrown plot into a family garden for their son Noah, who has Down's syndrome. Monty Don helps them learn about different sensory plants - only for rain to jeopardise the project. In Hitchin, Aletheia is determined to create a neighbourhood vegetable patch and a trip to Cranbrook Community Garden in London proves it is possible - but can she persuade the other locals to join in?

[edit] Teddington

Teddington woman Jennifer enlists her sisters' help to create an Italian-themed garden in memory of their parents. However, growing citrus trees, olive trees and vines in a leafy London suburb is easier said than done. In Billericay, Karensa dreams of turning a messy strip of back garden into an Alice in Wonderland playground for her daughter, complete with chessboard patio, heart-shaped lawn and teapot water feature. The only problem is, she has little idea how to go about it. Can Monty bring her closer to her fantasy?
