Giuseppe Verdi's name stands out as one of the greatest in the history of opera. "Rigoletto," "La Traviata," "Requiem Mass," "Aida," "Otello," and many other works have been reinterpreted on countless occasions, with Verdi's legacy only growing in stature as the years go by. This documentary recounts the life and achievements of the great composer, with host Thomas Hampson offering a warm tribute to the man who remains Italy's most famous composer. To celebrate this unique composer, Thomas Hampson, eloquent and world-famous baritone, tells the story of Verdi's life and works.
