Realm of the Volga: Series 1 With a stunning variety of landscapes and species, the Volga flows over 2,000 miles, traversing the heartlands of Russia.

The Volga stretches across the better part of Eastern Europe. it meanders through an area as large as France, Spain, and Portugal combined. Its sources are Russia's snow rich north; it swells into a huge, unstoppable force.

All the planet's major rivers flow into the oceans. All except one; the mighty Volga. After a 2,200 mile journey, the Volga finally unites with the Caspian Sea.
