[edit] Information

T.Rex: Ultimate Survivor With its terrifying jaws and seemingly impervious to attack, the Tyrannosaurus rex was the top predator of its day. New fossils reveal that the life of the T. rex and its cousins was brutal, and devastating injuries were routine. While multiple infected bites and broken bones would spell the end of most creatures, fossils show that T. rex had an incredible ability to heal and survive whatever nature threw at it. Probing fossils using cutting-edge techniques, NGC reveals the source of injuries, reconstructing predation attempts that went wrong and titanic battles where T. Rex teeth were sunk into adversaries. Triceratops often gored T. rex in the gut, and a lot of such terrible wounds would heal naturally. Explore the intriguing theory that T. rex combined the fool proof immune system of modern crocodiles with the high metabolism of birds.
