[edit] Information
The award-winning Tenebrae Choir contrast Bach's iconic motets with the sacred music of James MacMillan in a special programme for Easter from St John's Smith Square, London. The motets are renowned for their technical difficulty, requiring minute attention to detail as well as a full emotional range. Here, Tenebrae perform the three most well known of the set, culminating in the joyful Singet dem Herrn. That's followed by MacMillan's I Saw Eternity, a setting of words by Henry Vaughan.
