2,000 Tattoos, 40 Piercings And A Pickled Ear Featuring three bodyshockers as they prepare for difficult moments in their lives. One is moving to a new area, one is starting a business and the other is just trying to find love. In a sceptical world that tends to regard such people as freaks, can they convince others that underneath all the ink, piercings and split tongues they are just like everyone else? Keith lives with his wife and four children in a average suburban house in Essex, and has a normal 9-5 job as an admin assistant. The only thing unusual about 58-year-old Keith is his £15,000 collection of 2,000 all-over body tattoos. Keith and his family have been in their house for 10 years and by and large people are used to him, but he is now planning to move to a new area where people might not take kindly to the shocking appearance of their new neighbour. As Keith goes house-hunting, he reveals why he began getting tattoos and why he feels so compelled to continue. Meanwhile, Keith’s four children think that he has gone too far and his wife Lisa hates his appearance. She thinks that he “looks like a freak, a monster”. If she feels that way, what on earth will his new neighbours think? Torz is 28, single and looking for love. However, she finds that men find it difficult to see beyond her multiple tattoos and piercings and, as she puts it, “Not just accept, but love [her] modifications”. Torz has not been on a date in over 12 months, but now she is determined to find a man. The film follows Torz on a night out and at a speed-dating event, before she finally plucks up the courage to ask somebody out herself. Matthewʼs love of tattoos is so great that he has changed his name to King of Ink Land, King Body Art, The Extreme Ink-Ite – or just Body Art, for short. Every part of his body is covered in tattoos, including his penis, which is blue. He has even had his nipples removed to ensure a smooth surface to tattoo his chest – he keeps the nipples in his freezer. Above all, 35-year-old Body Art wants the world to take him seriously. He plans to start his own business, the exact details of which are a closely guarded secret. He has signed up for a business seminar for aspiring entrepreneurs and is busy buying suits in preparation. But before the seminar, there is an explosive and emotional row with his family, during which objections to his body modification and name change boil over. “Why can’t I call you Matthew?” his dad asks, as he despairs of what his son has become.
