No doubt the largest-scale and arguably the most important documentary series ever made about the Chinese food culture, A Bite of China has captured the interest of foodies and gourmets all over the nation and even overseas. The highly rated 7-part series from CCTV was shot in high-definition in 60 locations across China, including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, over a period of 13 months. Through different angles and perspectives, the documentary showcases the extensive variety of Chinese cuisines and diverse dining customs, while also revealing touching true stories of the people in the process. With renowned food critic Chua Lam onboard as the chief consultant, the tasteful series takes audiences along on an epic journey across the changing face of the Chinese cultural landscape, which begins right on the tongue.
