It's 100 years since the Russian Revolution. Brian Cox goes to Russia to discover stories of Scots who made this vast, troubled country their own.

Brian discovers stories of Scots, including a spy, a poet and the highest-ranking general in the Russian army, and has an emotional reunion with students he taught 30 years ago.

Brian meets his daughter Margaret, finds out how our own Robert Burns is a Russian hero, meets veterans from the Siege of Leningrad and discovers the Scot behind Russian football.
