A selection of Timothy West and Prunella Scales' adventures along the waterways of Wales and the West Country, which have woven through their childhoods, marriage, and family life, and remain their favourite place of escape. On the Avon, they travel on the fireboat that put out the wartime fires in Tim's hometown of Bristol, and head out into the Bristol Channel by steam paddler to visit the seaside village where Pru was evacuated, and reflect on their honeymoon on the Llangollen canal.
