Julia journeys through Ireland's stunning natural landscape and vibrant cities.

Julia explores the south of Ireland, from the green fields of Tipperary to the dramatic coastline of West Cork. At Cashel, she visits the spectacular medieval abbeys, while in Kinsale, she tastes her way around Ireland's new gourmet capital. Julia ends her journey at Ireland's most south-westerly point, the dramatic Mizen Head.

Julia takes a trip up the coastal Wild Atlantic Way. She visits the famous tower in Ballylee that was once the summer home and inspiration for WB Yeats. In Galway City, Julia visits a shop that specialises in Aran knitwear and a sculpture garden. Finally, it's onwards to Connemara, where Julia squelches her way through the bog as she farms mussels in a spectacular fjord.

Julia explores Dublin, the city of her birth. Starting at Croke Park, the home of Gaelic sports, she learns why the venue has become such a hallowed place for Dubliners. Julia also wanders through some of Dublin's famous seaside suburbs, before heading for the Wicklow Mountains and a very special forest.

Julia goes sailing on Lough Neagh and visits Londonderry, where she learns how this long-divided city is emerging from its troubled past. Julia also joins surfers on Donegal's beaches. In Sligo, she walks in the footsteps of WB Yeats and takes the plunge in a bath of seaweed.
