Desde la Antigua Mesopotamia hasta las más recientes construcciones europeas, el ladrillo ha sido la base de las construcciones de todos los tiempos. Este curioso documental hace un recorrido por diferentes civilizaciones y países que utilizaron el ladrillo para sus edificaciones.
Las primeras indicaciones sobre cómo usar los ladrillos en la construcción datan de hace aproximadamente 5000 años. La historia de los ladrillos revela importantes significados, como algunos de los más fascinantes hitos de nuestra cultura e historia. El documental realiza un viaje a través del tiempo y el espacio, que comienza en Mesopotamia, en una de las orillas del río Nilo cerca de la necrópolis de Sakkara, donde se encuentra la primera pirámide egipcia.
El documental también visita los acueductos de Roma, y analiza las estructuras militares, culturales y civiles, construidas durante el Imperio de los Habsburgo. Además describe la historia técnica de los ladrillos y el importante papel que continúan jugando en las construcciones contemporáneas.
El análisis que hace este documental de los ladrillos ofrece importantes datos que desvelan algunos secretos y misterios.

Since the former Mesopotamia to the modern European buildings, the brick has been the basis of buildings of all time. This curious documentary takes a tour of different civilizations and countries that used the brick for its buildings.
Early indications on how to use the bricks in construction date back some 5000 years. The history of the brick has important meanings, as some of the most fascinating landmarks of our culture and history. The documentary makes a journey through time and space, beginning in Mesopotamia, then on the banks of the Nile River near the necropolis of Sakkara, where the first Egyptian pyramid is found.
The documentary also visit the aqueducts of Rome, and analyzes military, cultural and civilian structures, built during the Habsburg Empire. It also describes the technical history of the bricks and the important role they continue to play in contemporary buildings.
