The hope and confusion of today's young Iranian women are indelibly captured in this raw, edgy and revealing portrait of an important moment in Iran's history. As a group of college girls run a campaign office for reformist candidate Mohammad Khatami in his bid for the presidency, Arezoo Bayat, a 25-year-old divorced mother, becomes one of the 711 unsuccessful presidential candidates. Directed by Rakhshan Bani Etemad, one of Iran's leading filmmakers of both documentaries and features, 'Our Times' provides a privileged and unique look inside the dreams and challenges faced by Iran's struggling democratic movement. The DVD includes a 12 page booklet featuring an interview with the director.
