[edit] Information
A look back at the extra-tropical cyclone that devastated the UK in October 1987, but was dismissed hours before by BBC weatherman Michael Fish. The programme features memories and anecdotes from famous faces, including Pete Waterman, who was frantically trying to complete his latest album and had to take shelter under the studio mixing desk, Anne Diamond, who found herself in a daring race across London, dodging fallen trees to make it to a studio for a live TV programme, and Alan Titchmarsh, who had to confront scenes of carnage at Kew Gardens as 700 trees were lost.
